Facebook. Finally.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am unbelievably technically challenged.  It’s really amazing.   Anything that is electronicy, gadgety, wired, networked or interfaced downright freaks me out.  Give me a camera and a feather, and I’ll create  art that will leave you breathless….but give me an iPhone, and I won’t be able to figure out how to turn the ringer on.  Seriously.

So, that being said, it is slightly miraculous that I was actually able to create a Facebook Fan Page.  Finally.  Which, actually really wasn’t that hard in retrospect, but in reality, I struggled folks. For well over an hour.  So I’d really appreciate it if you became a fan.  Plus, for all of my Kaleidoscope clients, I’m going to post some cool offers and specials for 2010 that you will ONLY see on Facebook!

*** New topic:  Self-Exploration***

Right Brained or Left Brained?  Which are you?  It’s really a fun and insightful little exercise to find out where your strengths are and how your brain works.   Plus, figuring out what makes human beings tick has always been a little fascination/hobby to me.

So, Ray & I recently took this nifty little quiz to find out more about our hemispheres.   It was no surprise to me that he was very left-brain dominant (organized, efficient, very detail-oriented) , and I pretty much knew going in that I was a rightie (spontaneous, creative, visual) but I was a little bit floored at what the overall test results revealed how truly unbalanced I am.  Here they are:

Right Brained notes

Per the above quizzical interview, I am 100% right-brained.  Wow.  Wow, wow.  18 out of 18.  So much makes sense now!  There is now actual, internet-quiz-generated PROOF as to why I’m simply not wired to return the salad forks to the salad fork slot vs. the dinner fork slot in our silverware drawer!   Evidence!  Finally.

Anyhoooo, we really did have a blast learning and playing around with the whole hemisphere concept, so I thought I’d share it with you all.  If you take the quiz, let me know what you are!  Are you a rightie, a leftie, or one of those wonderfully rare perfectly balanced brains in-between?  Do you think there is any validity to the results?  Does your hemispheric dominance play into your every day life?  I’d love to hear what you all have to share so shoot me an email or leave me a comment below.  Happy hemispheric hunting! – PB

February 19, 2010 - 6:39 am Patti - Thanks for sharing everyone! Cee, I am shocked. I thought you'd be a rightie for sure, and Allison too. I've got another quizzie I'll be sharing soon that is even cooler so look for it!

February 9, 2010 - 4:42 pm Suze - 18 v 4! (& I might have cheated a little on the 4...lol! Seems there is a very good reason for my cluttered desk! Thanks Patti- fun! :)

February 3, 2010 - 2:50 pm Paula Reynolds - You found her. I am evenly split, 9 and 9. No surprise. I can't seem to make up my mind about anything and now I know it's because my brain can't seem to make up it's mind either. Says a lot, I think. Missed your writing! You're funny!

February 1, 2010 - 2:56 pm cee - Left brain 100%. But you knew that....

January 29, 2010 - 9:41 pm Kassia - Duuude. I'm 100% left brained! That seems off to me, but maybe....

January 29, 2010 - 9:36 pm Sheila - I was 10 right and 8 left. In your FB message, you said you're the last photog on earth to get a Facebook page. Sorry to inform you that you actually aren't, because I am! :) I'm your newest fan!

January 29, 2010 - 8:49 pm edda - what a fun test! It said I am left brained. I'm fan on your Facebook page.

January 29, 2010 - 4:36 pm Allison - I just took it and am 100% left-brained. This isn't much of a surprise to anyone who knows me well, although the "everything in its place" rule worked much better for me before I had kids!

January 29, 2010 - 3:13 pm Carey - hahaha, Patti! I'm your opposite! I am fully left brained!!! All 18 questions!

January 29, 2010 - 11:58 am Christina - This is definitely dead on -- I was the reverse of Vinita (12 lefty and 6 righty). I get algebra but geometric theorems (or anything theory based) is over my head!

January 29, 2010 - 9:13 am Vinita - I'm 12 rightie and 6 leftie..I must say I do like the salad forks in the salad fork slot hehehhe! Great quiz and post!
