Pretty.

Sydney1Sydney3

I love working with this little girl.  I keep telling her mom that she could easily model.  Of course, her beauty is the least of her lovely characteristics.   More to come, soon….I’m up to my waist in editing! - PB

PS – can any of my Photog pals tell me why my pics are suddenly looking blown-out when I upload them online, even though they are fine in PS?  I’ve been beating my head against the wall over this one.  I’m not doing anything new, but I’ve noticed it on the last couple of posts.   If it’s some techie thing that I’m not doing right, Lord help me.

awaninobriree - Just want to say what a great blog you got here!
I’ve been around for quite a lot of time, but finally decided to show my appreciation of your work!

Thumbs up, and keep it going!

Kristi W. @ Life at the Chateau Whitman - I think Facebook runs it’s own compression filter on uploaded photos (drives me nuts too), so maybe other sites do as well? If it’s an issue with uploading to your website, I wonder if it’s the FTP client you’re using. Quite a mystery! Patti, if you figure out what the issue is and how to fix it, will you please write an update on your blog? Thanks!

Patti - Erin…they’re in RGB (I think…) but, but, but…you may be onto something! I’ll play around with color space tomorrow. You Rock! – PB

Erin - Hi Patti! Beautiful photos, as usual! Are your images in sRGB when posting on the internet?

April 26, 2010 - 4:09 pm

Patti - Hey Christy,

Thanks so much! I didn’t add any texture to this batch b/c it just didn’t work, but I did to the last three (or 4?) sessions or so. I may do a few video tutorials on my post processing since I’ve been getting some emails. Stay tuned! :)

wayoutnumbered - What a perfect description…Pretty~
Also, if you use any of your creations on your photos I’d love for you to share which ones you’ve used:) Usually I can spot ‘em but not always!

Krista Campbell - I’ve been noticing the same thing! My pictures are NOT blown out when I’m saving and then all the sudden on my blog (and especially FB) my whites are blown out. I thought it was just me. I did a first communion shoot recently and the little girl’s dress had beautiful detail in PS and when I posted to FB- no detail. All blown out. ?

April 26, 2010 - 10:54 am

Patti - Thanks Kristi! Yes, I’m saving for web exactly how I always have….and in PS there isn’t the major blown-out look that shows up here. It’s web only, and it’s recent. I’m uber-stumped.

Let me know if you have any other thoughts!

Kristi W. @ Life at the Chateau Whitman - Beautiful photos! Are you selecting “save for web” in Photoshop? I’m guessing that they are being compressed somehow when they are uploaded.
